Ukrainian Art Song Project presents the recently discovered compositions of the late romantic Denys Sichynsky, post-romantic Stanyslav Liudkevych, impressionist Vasyl Barvinsky and modernist, as well as Ukraine's first female composer, Stefania Turkewich.
Internationally acclaimed British bass-baritone Pavlo Hunka is joined by three renowned Canadian opera singers: Monica Whicher - soprano, Krisztina Szabo - mezzo-soprano, Russell Braun – baritone, along with featured artists Marie Berard - violin and Albert Krywolt – piano, for the world premiere performance of the Art Songs of four Ukrainian composers from the western province of Galicia.
